Stu Bohart, head of Morgan Stanley Investment Management's core business, will retire this summer, according to a letter to clients and consultants from MSIM President Gregory Fleming, obtained by Pensions & Investments.
Navtej Nandra also was hired as a managing director and head of MSIM International, the letter said. Mr. Nandra was the head of diversified financial services and the chief operating officer of Merrill Lynch's global wealth management division, and prior to that served as chief operating officer of the firm's global investment bank.
He replaces Andy Mack, the head of MSIM's Europe, Middle East and Africa business, who will retire on June 30, and Blair Pickerell, the head of MSIM's Asian business, who left the firm in May.
Jim Janover was hired as a managing director and global head of MSIM risk management, while Sara Furber was named as chief operating officer of MSIM's long-only business. Both positions are new, and both will start in July.
Mr. Janover had held a number of of risk, credit and management positions with both Merrill Lynch and Bank of America. Ms. Furber most recently served as the COO of global corporate and investment banking at Bank of America.
MSIM spokeswoman Erica Platt confirmed the changes.
