GoldenTree InSite Partners, the real estate investment subsidiary of hedge fund manager GoldenTree Asset Management, is changing its name in preparation of a spinoff this year, confirmed Scott Sunshine, GoldenTree spokesman.
GoldenTree Insite’s new name, effective July 1, will be GTIS Partners.
GoldenTree Asset Management will maintain an equity interest in GTIS and the companies will continue to collaborate on new investments, Mr. Sunshine said.
GoldenTree InSite Partners will spin off when certain assets under management are reached, Mr. Sunshine said. He declined to state what the milestone is, but said GoldenTree InSite executives expect them to be hit this year.
