Michael D. McKee was named CEO at real estate investment firm Kennedy Associates Real Estate Counsel, according to a news release.
It could not be learned by press time whom Mr. McKee replaced.
Mr. McKee retired as CEO of real estate owner and management company Irvine Co. in 2008, and has been an independent director on Kennedy Associates’ board for the last two years.
Kennedy Associates is part owned by Canadian real estate firm Bentall. Both Bentall and Kennedy are each one-third owned by the C$74.5 billion ($71.1 billion) British Columbia Investment Management Corp., Victoria, and the C$131.6 billion Caisse de Depot et Placement du Quebec, Montreal.
John Parker, Kennedy Associates' co-founder, had been CEO. Mr. Parker will remain president and chairman of the investment committee, said Robert A. Ratliffe, Kennedy executive vice president.
