State of Wisconsin Investment Board, Madison, is searching for at least one private equity consultant for its $67.8 billion core fund.
The RFP on the board’s website, http://www.swib.state.wi.us, indicates more than one firm could be hired.
Proposals are due June 11, according to the RFP. The board expects to make a decision Sept. 15.
Hamilton Lane is the current private equity consultant. Details on why the board, which oversees a total of $78.1 billion in assets, is conducting the search were not immediately available.
The core fund has $4.2 billion invested in private equity and $4 billion in uncalled commitments with 177 partnerships as of March 31, according to a SWIB report.
The scope of the consulting work includes assisting in developing private equity investment strategy and a tactical implementation plan as well as searching for private equity managers.
Further information about the search was unavailable.
Meanwhile, the board is reviewing responses to a separate RFP concluded April 30 for a consulting firm to provide private equity monitoring and reporting services for the core fund. The scope of the assignment includes reporting on private equity performance, transactions and commitments.
The board expects to make a decision in June or July.
