Heidi Walsh was named vice president of defined contribution investment solutions at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, confirmed Jacqueline Meere, spokeswoman.
The position is new. Ms. Walsh reports to David L. Musto, managing director for DC investment solutions.
In an internal memo provided to P&I Daily by J.P. Morgan, Mr. Musto wrote that Ms. Walsh will lead the company's defined contribution record-keeping and intermediary firm sales efforts in partnership with the company's retail national accounts team.
“Heidi's arrival and new role further expands the level of DC knowledge and sales expertise we can bring to our mutual clients,” according to the memo.
Ms. Walsh started earlier this week and is based in New York, Ms. Meere said. Further details on her position at J.P. Morgan were not available.
Ms. Walsh was director of intermediary relations for T. Rowe Retirement Plan Services. Brian Lewbart, a spokesman for T. Rowe Price, said a replacement for Ms. Walsh will be sought.
