Greater Orlando (Fla.) Aviation Authority has issued an RFP for a record keeper for its $13.5 million 401(a) plan, confirmed Steven Roth, director of manager research at Dahab Associates, the plan’s consultant.
Ascensus is the plan’s current record keeper, whose contract expires Dec. 31, Mr. Roth said, adding that there hasn’t been any dissatisfaction with the company. He described the aviation authority’s RFP as routine for a public entity, adding that Ascensus is welcome to rebid.
The new record keeper will have a three-year contract effective Jan. 1, and the authority will have an option to make two one-year renewals “upon mutual agreement,” according to the RFP.
Calls to Kathy Bond, chairman of the authority’s retirement benefits committee, weren’t returned by press time.
Information about the RFP is available on the authority’s website, http://www.orlandoairports.net or Dahab’s website, http://www.dahab.com.
The deadline for submitting a proposal is June 11. Finalists’ interviews are scheduled for July 14, and a selection is scheduled for Sept. 18, according to the RFP.
