The Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System, Nashville, is searching for a private equity consultant for the $29.8 billion system, confirmed Lamar Villere, director of private equity.
Incumbent Strategic Investment Solutions, whose contract expires later this year, may rebid, Mr. Villere said.
TCRS has a private equity target of 3%, or about $890 million in current fund dollars, and a cap of 5%. Mr. Villere said about $300 million of that amount has been committed. The 2010 target for additional private equity investment in 2010 is about $300 million. As of May 1, $130 million had been committed.
The RFP is available on the Tennessee Office of Contracts Review website at http://www.tn.gov/finance/rds/ocr/rfp.html. Proposals are due June 11, and a selection is expected in mid-July, according to the RFP.
