Nathan Voris, senior manager, global benefits design, at Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Bentonville, Ark., is leaving to join Ibbotson Associates as a consultant, confirmed Alexa Auerbach, a spokeswoman at Ibbotson parent Morningstar.
He will begin at Ibbotson next month, she said.
Mr. Voris will report to John Thompson, Ibbotson vice president of investment management services.
Steve Hunter, Wal-Mart’s vice president of benefits planning and design, declined to comment.
Wal-Mart had $11.3 billion in defined contribution assets as of Sept. 30.
