Joyce T. Shapiro was named a managing director at Franklin Templeton Real Estate Advisors, where she will lead a new real assets fund-of-funds business, spokesman William Weeks, confirmed in an e-mail response to inquiries.
The position is new.
She will head a new team that will invest in real asset multimanager investment strategies, including infrastructure, energy, water, agriculture and timber.
Ms. Shapiro was global head of client relationship management at Brookfield Asset Management. She was replaced by Leo van den Thillart, managing partner, private institutional equity who is based in London, said Katherine Vyse, senior vice president, investor relations and communications at Brookfield Asset Management.
