Laurent Saltiel will join AllianceBernstein in June as a portfolio manager and team leader for the firm’s international large-cap growth equity strategies and its global large-cap growth equity strategies, confirmed spokesman John Meyers.
Mr. Saltiel is a portfolio manager at Janus Capital Group, overseeing the firm’s $2.4 billion Janus Worldwide fund; the $230 million Janus International Equity fund, and the $11.7 million Janus International Forty fund and related institutional portfolios. He will leave Janus at the end of this month, said spokesman James Aber.
At AllianceBernstein, Mr. Saltiel will assume his duties from Christopher Toub, who will remain a member of AllianceBernstein’s portfolio oversight teams, co-head of its global research growth strategies and head of its international research growth strategies, Mr. Meyers said.
Mr. Toub will take on additional responsibilities as a senior investment professional for AllianceBernstein’s alternatives business, Mr. Meyers said; he would not elaborate.
Janus is conducting a search for an experienced manager to take over Mr. Saltiel’s portfolios, Mr. Aber said. Brent Lynn, an executive vice president and portfolio manager with the firm, has taken charge of the portfolio management duties on an interim basis; Mr. Saltiel’s two assistant portfolio managers — Tony Yao and Julian McManus — retain their roles at Janus, he said.
