Rachel S.L. Minard was named partner and managing director at hedge fund-of-funds firm Optima Fund Management.
The position is new.
In a telephone interview, Ms. Minard said she’ll be responsible for expanding Optima’s global client relationships across all distribution channels, with a particular focus on global institutions, including sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, and endowments and foundations.
Ms. Minard will open a San Francisco office for the New York-based firm. She also will serve on Optima’s management and investment committees, and report directly to CEO Dixon Boardman.
Ms. Minard left her previous position as president and partner of hedge fund-of-funds manager Cogo Wolf Asset Management in February. A Cogo Wolf statement said the firm recently hired a new president and partner and it will make a formal announcement soon.
