State of Wisconsin Investment Board, Madison, is searching for a consulting firm for private equity monitoring and reporting services for its $67.8 billion core fund.
The scope of the assignment includes reporting on private equity performance, transactions and commitments, according to an RFP on the board's website, http://www.swib.state.wi.us. Proposals are due April 30.
The private equity portfolio has $4.2 billion in market value invested, according to the RFP. The private equity portfolio also has $4 billion in uncalled commitments to 177 partnerships.
SWIB oversees a total of $78.1 billion in assets.
“The request is for back-office support, which includes duties that are being shared by both Hamilton Lane, SWIB's private equity consultant, and the SWIB staff,” Vicki Hearing, SWIB public information officer, said in a statement.
Hamilton Lane can bid on this project, she added.
The “workload has increased for SWIB's accounting area, and we are looking to use SWIB resources for more analytical work,” Ms. Hearing said in the statement.
SWIB staff is conducting the RFP without the assistance of a consultant, she added.
