Shawn Lytle was named head of global asset management Americas for UBS Global Asset Management, confirmed spokesman Kris Kagel.
Mr. Lytle succeeds Kai Sotorp, who is taking a three-month leave and will return to an as-yet undetermined role at UBS Global, Mr. Kagel said. The two will work together for about a month before Mr. Sotorp begins his leave.
Mr. Lytle will report directly to John Fraser, UBS Global chairman and CEO.
Mr. Lytle was deputy global head of equities at UBS. Mr. Lytle’s duties will be split among other members of the equities team, Mr. Kagel said in an interview.
