Michael Kiley was named senior managing director of Guggenheim Partners, according to a Guggenheim news release.
Mr. Kiley, who has been a consultant to Guggenheim, will continue to work closely with Todd Boehly, managing partner at Guggenheim, as Guggenheim completes its acquisition of Security Benefit Corp., according to the release.
Guggenheim spokesman Jeffrey Kelley could not be reached for comment by press time.
Mr. Kiley most recently served as president and CEO of Van Kampen Investments, a division of Morgan Stanley.
Erica Platt, a spokeswoman for Van Kampen, said in a phone interview that Mr. Kiley was succeeded in March 2008 by Jerry Miller.
