Kate Misic was named head of alternatives at Telstra Super, confirmed Jim Christensen, chief investment officer of the A$10 billion (US$9.3 billion) fund in Melbourne, Australia.
Ms. Misic, who was a senior portfolio analyst with Warakirri Asset Management, will manage Telstra Super's investments in listed alternative strategies, primarily hedge funds.
Ms. Misic's appointment completes the renewal of the Telstra Super internal team, which experienced an outflow of key staff in the past eight months; the former head of alternatives, Nicole Connolly, joined Russell Investments last month.
