Sandra Haas, managing director at Morgan Stanley, was named head of a newly created sales team focusing on large U.S. pension plans, endowments and foundations, she confirmed in a telephone interview.
Ms. Haas was head of business development for prime brokerage. That position has not yet been filled, according to Morgan Stanley spokeswoman Mary Claire Delaney.
She will report directly to Rich Portogallo, head of equity clients and services, and Rob Rooney, head of interest rates, credit and currencies distribution.
Morgan Stanley is currently filling positions for the new team, but Ms. Haas said the total number of employees has not yet been determined.
“We are looking to provide the largest pensions, endowments and foundations a single point of contact to deliver the content and services of Morgan Stanley,” she said.
