Timothy Maher was named senior vice president and co-head of investor relations by Paulson Europe, the London-based office of U.S. hedge fund manager Paulson & Co.
The position is new, confirmed Armel Leslie, a Paulson spokesman. Jonas Frantz, senior vice president, is the other co-head.
Mr. Maher was an investor relations executive in London for Och-Ziff Capital Management until about a month ago, said a source with knowledge of the situation, who requested anonymity. Patrick Clifford, an Och-Ziff spokesman, declined to comment. Information about Mr. Maher’s replacement could not be learned.
