Joseph E. Brunken, was named senior vice president and director of marketing and client services for Amalgamated Bank's institutional asset management and custody division.
The position is new, according to Bob Rinklin, a spokesman for the bank.
Mr. Brunken will be in charge of expanding alliances with trustees of jointly administered trust funds and with public employee health and welfare funds, according to a news release from the bank.
As of Dec. 31, Amalgamated’s asset management and custody division had more than 500 institutional clients with approximately $17.9 billion in assets under custody and $11.8 billion in assets under management.
From 2006 to 2009, Mr. Brunken started and ran a commercial/residential real estate and property management firm, said Mr. Rinklin, adding that this firm continues to operate in New York.
