The Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency Retirement Board is searching for a commingled fund or mutual fund manager to run $2 million to $5 million in a global natural resources strategy, confirmed Joseph Petty, executive director of the $69 million Boston-based pension plan.
Consultant Meketa is assisting. The RFP is available on Meketa’s website at http://www.meketagroup.com/invmgrctr.asp.
“Strategies that include long-only exposure to commodities (at least half of the strategy must be invested in public equities) are also encouraged,” according to the Meketa website.
Proposals are due by 4 p.m. EDT April 16. Fran Peters, the Meketa consultant advising the MHFA retirement board, declined further comment.
