Blaine Tomlinson, founder of hedge fund-of-funds manager Financial Risk Management, will assume the role of CEO next month, according to a spokeswoman for the firm.
Mr. Tomlinson, who will remain chairman of the firm, will replace Brian Robinson, who is retiring at the end of this month.
Mr. Tomlinson had been CEO until 2007, when Mr. Robinson was appointed to the post.
FRM's assets under management fell 38% to $8.5 billion in the two years ended Dec. 31. Mr. Tomlinson's reappointment as CEO is not connected to the fall in assets, the spokeswoman said.
