Ohio Highway Patrol Retirement System, Columbus, issued RFPs for a core fixed-income manager to run $50 million and an international small-cap equity manager to handle $15 million, confirmed Dan Weiss, executive director and chief investment officer of the $650 million system.
The core fixed-income search was issued because of personnel changes at the portfolio’s current manager, Wells Capital Management, according to Mr. Weiss. Wells is not on watch, has not been terminated and can rebid.
Dimensional Fund Advisors currently runs the international small-cap portfolio; Mr. Weiss said the firm can rebid.
The RFPs are available on the system’s website at http://www.ohprs.org. Proposals are due March 12. Finalists are tentatively due to be notified on March 25, with final presentations to be given tentatively on April 22.
