Scott Wittman, a senior vice president and senior portfolio manager with American Century Investments, will take on the additional title of chief investment officer, quantitative equity and asset allocation, effective March 31, confirmed spokesman Chris Doyle.
Mr. Wittman will replace John Schniedwind, who is retiring following 27 years with the firm, Mr. Doyle said.
Separately, David Holland, a portfolio manager overseeing several of the firm's growth equity funds, has been promoted to CIO, U.S. growth equity-midcap and small cap. He replaces Glenn Fogle, who is leaving the firm after a five-month personal leave of absence. Efforts to reach Mr. Fogle were unsuccessful.
