Jupiter Asset Management named John Chatfeild-Roberts chief investment officer effective Feb. 3, confirmed Jupiter spokeswoman Despina Constantinides.
He replaces Edward Bonham Carter, who has held a combined CEO/CIO role since 2000. Mr. Bonham Carter will remain CEO.
Mr. Chatfeild-Roberts, director and head of Jupiter’s Merlin fund-of-funds team, will keep those duties.
“With Jupiter’s business enjoying strong growth, it is the right time for John to take on the full CIO role,” Mr. Bonham Carter said in a news release. “This will enable me to have a greater focus on developing Jupiter’s growing business and extending its international reach.”
