James Polisson was named managing director of Russell Investments’ global ETF business, and Andrew Arenberg was named managing director of global ETF distribution.
The positions are new.
Mr. Polisson was chief marketing officer, iShares, at BGI, which was acquired by BlackRock last year. Mr. Arenberg was a managing director in BGI’s global e-business.
Mr. Polisson said in a news release that Russell will be focusing on “new, innovative strategies.” He did not go into specifics and Russell officials did not return phone calls by press time for details.
BlackRock officials were not immediately available for comment as to whether the two had been replaced.
