Eric P. Johnson was named head of U.S. sales, client service and consultant relations for Invesco Institutional, effective Feb. 8, confirmed Invesco spokesman Bill Hensel.
He succeeds Jack Markwalter, who has served in the position since March 2008 while also continuing as chairman and CEO of Atlantic Trust, Invesco’s private wealth management business.
Mr. Johnson will oversee institutional sales, service and consultant relations teams. He will work with investment, product and marketing teams and with senior leadership in developing business strategy.
Mr. Johnson will report directly to G. Mark Armour, head of Invesco Institutional and senior managing director of parent Invesco.
Mr. Johnson was managing director and head of Americas institutional distribution for Neuberger Berman. Randall Whitestone, Neuberger Berman spokesman, said Mr. Johnson will not be replaced and his previous duties will be assumed by others at the firm.
