Scott M. Nelson joined hedge fund manager Autonomy Capital Group as head of the firm's investor group.
In the newly created position, Mr. Nelson will oversee business development and investor and consultant relations, confirmed Jonathan Gasthalter, a spokesman.
Mr. Nelson was managing director at multistrategy hedge fund manager Deephaven Capital Management; he left the firm when Stark Investments acquired most of Deephaven's hedge fund assets earlier this year.
Autonomy manages about $1.3 billion in global macro strategies. Performance of the firm's flagship Autonomy Capital Fund year-to-date Oct. 31 was 60.74%.
