David Levi joined Nuveen Investments as managing director for global business development. The New York-based position is a new one, said Nuveen spokeswoman Kathleen Cardoza.
In addition to heading Nuveen's global business development efforts, Mr. Levi also will serve as co-head of the national accounts team with fellow managing director Anthony Ciccarone. Mr. Levi will focus on developing senior-level client relationships, while supporting Nuveen's expansion into global markets and the defined contribution sector.
Previously, Mr. Levi served as a senior managing director and head of global business development and marketing with AllianceBernstein's retail arm, AllianceBernstein Investments. AllianceBernstein spokesman John Meyers couldn't immediately discuss plans to replace Mr. Levi.
