Teresa Hassara was named senior managing director and head of institutional clients services at TIAA-CREF, overseeing its institutional business, and Kevin Nazworth was named vice president and head of its health-care segment, a new position to oversee and develop hospital retirement plan business, the company announced.
Ms. Hassara is scheduled to join TIAA-CREF on Nov. 23 and will replace Nancy Heller, who became senior managing director and head of news businesses, a new position, in product development and management for TIAA-CREF institutional clients. Ms. Hassara was senior vice president, investment services, at Fidelity Investments. Her duties "are being assumed by members in the group," said Jennifer Engle, Fidelity spokeswoman. Ms. Engle said no further information was available on whether she’d be replaced.
Mr. Nazworth, who joined TIAA-CREF on Oct. 26, was executive vice president, group management and national markets, at Valic. Information about his replacement couldn't be learned by press time.
