CalPERS is narrowing the list of potential candidates to serve as its infrastructure consultant, according to CalPERS' agenda material in advance of its Sept. 14 meeting.
The investment staff of the $194 billion California Public Employees' Retirement System, Sacramento, is recommending four finalists out of the nine firms that submitted bids: Meketa Investment Group, Pension Consulting Alliance, R.V. Kuhns & Associates and Wilshire Consulting.The RFP was issued July 8
The other bids came from Brock Capital Group, Capital Innovations, Cliffwater, Courtland Partnersand Investors Diversified Realty.
Consultant fees for the four recommended finalists were among the lowest of all the bidders, according to the agenda material.
The staff is recommending the investment committee conduct interviews of the finalists at a future meeting and establish a committee to review the proposals before selecting an infrastructure consultant. The committee, at the Sept. 14 meeting, will vote on the finalists and decide whether to schedule interviews.
