Angelien Kemna was named CIO of APG Group and CEO of APG Asset Management, the group’s fund management division, effective Nov. 1, according to a news release.
APG manages approximately e205 billion ($293.5 billion) in pension assets for Dutch pension fund ABP.
Ms. Kemna succeeds Roderick Munsters, who is becoming CEO at Dutch asset management firm Robeco, effective Sept. 1. Mr. Munsters will replace George Moller, who is retiring.
Paul Spijkers, CIO of APG Asset Management and head of APG Asset Management U.S., has served as acting CIO of APG Group since Aug. 1. An APG spokesman could not be reached for comment.
Ms. Kemna was a professor at Erasmus School of Economics, where she will remain as chairwoman. Ms. Kemna previously served as global CIO for ING Investment Management and CEO at ING Investment Management Europe.
