Patrick O'Sullivan joined Amalgamated Bank as an executive vice president and director of the institutional asset management and custody division, according to a news release.
He replaced Anthony Pellecchia, who took on a newly established position as director of consultant relations and sales in May.
In a telephone interview, Mr. O'Sullivan said he'll be working to boost the bank's custody and investment management businesses, developing additional strategies to meet the needs of investors as they look to rebalance their portfolios, while diversifying a client base that has been almost exclusively focused on the Taft-Hartley market.
Mr. O'Sullivan left UBS Global Asset Management in June 2008, where he served as a managing director and head of the firm's infrastructure asset management unit.
