Caldwell Partners International, an executive search firm with offices in Canada and the U.S., acquired Cromwell Partners, an executive search firm, according to a news release.
Both firms do searches for financial firms, including asset managers.
Terms aren't being disclosed, according to a Caldwell spokesman.
With the acquisition, Paul Heller, Cromwell’s president, becomes managing partner of Caldwell’s New York office, while Cromwell partners Scott Bilby, Michael Martinolich and Leah Peskin become partners of Caldwell.
In a telephone interview, Mr. Heller said the deal allows Caldwell to continue its aggressive recent expansion in the U.S. market, and his team can extend its asset management capabilities to broader sectors, such as insurance — an area of strength for Caldwell.
