Robert G. Gifford is the new president and CEO of AIG Global Real Estate, American International Group’s $24.3 billion real estate investment business, confirmed spokeswoman Lauren Day.
He replaces Kevin Fitzpatrick, who left in May to become managing director of Longview.
Jeffrey Hurd, senior vice president, head of asset management restructuring and parent AIG’s chief administrative officer, had served as interim president and CEO.
Mr. Gifford was a principal at AEW Capital Management before he retired in 2008.
