New York State Common Retirement Fund, Albany, last month closed on a $75 million investment in Diamondback Partners, an absolute-return portfolio, according to a monthly transaction report from state Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli, the $109.9 billion fund’s sole trustee.
The fund also closed on two transactions in its private equity portfolio, Falcon Strategic Partners III and Carpenter Community BancFund, totaling about $80 million, Mr. DiNapoli said.
Spokesman Robert Whalen wasn’t immediately available for comment.
