Christopher Crain has been named group publisher of Pensions & Investments and several other publications owned by Crain Communications Inc.
Mr. Crain replaces William T. Bisson Jr., who retired.
“I am thrilled to see the next generation of the Crain family assume a leadership position in our company,” said Rance Crain, president of Detroit-based Crain Communications.
Christopher Crain will report to Rance Crain, his uncle.
Christopher Crain was associate publisher of Advertising Age and editor-in-chief of Crain's Manchester Business, which he helped launch in 2007. He will retain the role of editor-in-chief.
In addition to P&I, Mr. Crain will be group publisher of Business Insurance, Workforce Management and the Staffing Industry Analysts group.
He is based in New York.
