The San Francisco Employees' Retirement System is looking for a deputy director of private markets and a deputy director of public markets.
Both positions are new, said David Kushner, deputy director of investments, in an e-mail. Growth at the $12.2 billion fund requires more senior expertise in both areas, he added.
The public markets director would oversee performance of all equity and fixed-income investments and external managers. The candidate would recommend manager hires and monitor capital markets developments. The private markets position has similar requirements but focuses on alternative investment — primarily private equity — and real estate.
Salaries for both posts range from $148,772 to $189,878 annually.
