Walter Lukken resigned today as a commissioner for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. His resignation will take effect July 10.
He will be a senior vice president of global market structure in the office of general counsel for NYSE Euronext, according to a CTFC news release.
Mr. Lukken served as the CFTC's acting chairman from June 2007 to January. His resignation clears the way for President Barack Obama to nominate a new commissioner to the agency.
