David McNellis was named an executive director and senior investor with Morgan Stanley Investment Managements global macro and asset allocation team, and Frances Lim was named a vice president and senior investor on the same team, said spokeswoman Erica Platt.
Both positions are new.
Mr. McNellis and Ms. Lim are rejoining Morgan Stanley from Fortress Investment Group, along with Henry McVey, who is returning from a two-year stint at the hedge fund firm as a portfolio manager to become MSIMs strategist and head of the global macro and asset allocation team, also new positions. All three executives should start at MSIM in late June, Ms. Platt said.
At Fortress, Mr. McNellis served as a macro strategist, while Ms. Lim served as the U.S. equity strategist.
Lilly Donohue, a managing director with Fortress, couldnt immediately be reached for comment.
In their prior stints at Morgan Stanley, Mr. McVey served as chief U.S. investment strategist and a member of the parent firms asset allocation committee; Mr. McNellis served as a vice president and U.S. equity strategist in Morgan Stanleys research department, and a member of the asset allocation committee; and Ms. Lim served as a research associate and strategist with the equity research group.
