James M. Walsh was named managing director at hedge fund-of-funds manager Prisma Capital Partners, responsible for Prismas marketing operations, said spokeswoman Mary Beth Grover.
Also, Daniel S. Lawee was named portfolio manager-fixed income, volatility and reinsurance, and Queenie Chang was named senior operational due diligence associate.
All positions are new.
Mr. Walsh was co-founder of Walsh Advisors, a third-party alternative investment marketing firm, and served as its marketing consultant to Prisma beginning in 2004. Walsh Advisors no longer offers third-party marketing services, Ms. Grover said.
Mr. Lawee was a fixed-income portfolio manager at Northwater Capital Management. Paul Robson, Northwaters president, did not return a call seeking information about Mr. Lawees replacement.
Ms. Chang was a vice president in DB Advisors hedge fund-of-funds unit, which closed earlier this year, said Mayura Hooper, a Deutsche Bank spokeswoman.
Prisma managed $3.7 billion as of June 1, mostly for institutional clients.
