Anthony J. Crescenzi was named senior vice president, market strategist and portfolio manager at PIMCO.
It is a new position, confirmed PIMCO spokesman Mark Porterfield. Mr. Crescenzi will start at PIMCO on June 22, according to a PIMCO news release. He will report to Steve Rodosky, executive vice president, portfolio manager and head of PIMCOs Treasury desk.
Mr. Crescenzi was chief bond market strategist at Miller Tabak. A Miller Tabak spokesman could not be reached for comment about a replacement.
Mr. Crescenzi is the author of Investing From the Top Down: A Macro Approach to Capital Markets and The Strategic Bond Investor and co-author of Stigums Money Market.
