David Russ was named chief investment strategist of a newly created investment strategies group at Credit Suisse, according to a news release.
The new unit, formally called the investment strategies and solutions group, is part of Credit Suisses asset management division and will provide investment strategies to pension plans as well as clients that are not subject to ERISA.
Mr. Russ was CIO of Dartmouth Colleges office of investments, Hanover, N.H., and guided the universitys $3.6 billion endowment.
Dartmouth spokeswoman Diana Pearson could not be reached for comment about Mr. Russ replacement.
