Tony Archer was named business head, Asia Pacific, at American Century Investments, said spokesman Chris Doyle.
Mr. Archer will open a sales, marketing and client service office for the firm in Hong Kong. The position is new.
He was managing director for Asia sales with Morgan Stanley Investment Management, as well as head of that firms institutional advisory group for Asia Pacific. Erica Platt, a spokeswoman for Morgan Stanley, said Sandra Lee joined MISM effective May 1 to take Mr. Archers place. According to an MSIM news release, Ms. Lee was previously chief executive, China, client solutions group, global equities and derivative solutions, for Societe Generale Corporate and Investment Banking.
The opening of American Centurys Hong Kong office follows its opening of a London office in October.
