Hedge funds-of-funds manager Gottex Fund Management Holdings acquired a controlling interest in SJC Capital Partners, which specializes in making secured loans.
Terms of the deal and the size of SJC’s assets under management were not disclosed, said Kate Lehane, a Gottex spokeswoman.
Stephen J. Czech, founder and CIO of SJC, will become a Gottex managing director, and he and his team will join the firm’s New York office immediately, Ms. Lehane said.
Mr. Czech will develop and launch new direct lending strategies for Gottex later this year, according to a Gottex news release.
