Brian B. Hogan was named president of the equity division of Fidelity Investments mutual fund arm, Fidelity Management & Research Co., Fidelity announced today.
Mr. Hogan replaces Walter C. Donovan, who resigned in early April to join Putnam Investments as CIO. Previously, he served as senior vice president of equity research at FMR. Fidelity spokeswoman Anne Crowley said a replacement to head equity research at Fidelity could be named shortly.
As president of the equity division, Mr. Hogan will oversee more than $491 billion in equity and high-income mutual fund assets, reporting to Michael E. Wilens, head of asset management, according to a Fidelity news release.
