Kamil Salame was named partner at CVC Capital Partners and head of the firms U.S. financial institutions group, spokeswoman Christina Stenson said. The position is new.
He will report to Jonathan Feuer, managing partner of CVC and global head of the financial institutions group.
Mr. Salame was a partner at DLJ Merchant Banking Partners and was a managing director at DLJ parent Credit Suisse. His responsibilities at DLJ will be assumed by existing partners, Credit Suisse spokeswoman Suzanne Fleming said.
She added that while Mr. Salame has not been directly replaced, the firm promoted directors Ryan Sprott and Newton Aguiar to partner and managing director.
