Thomas J. McHugh and Thomas J. T.J. McHugh Jr. were named portfolio managers at Logan Capital Management, effective April 1, confirmed Deborah G. George, a managing director at Logan Capital. The positions are new.
The McHughs, father and son, who managed a growth at a reasonable price strategy at McHugh Associates, will offer the same investment approach at Logan Capital, broadening the firms existing large-cap growth and large-cap value lineup, Ms. George said. Thomas J. McHugh was chairman and CEO at McHugh Associates, which is is closing effective April 1.
Logan Capital had $1.2 billion in mostly institutional client money as of Dec. 31. The GARP strategy will start at Logan with roughly $55 million in existing clients.
