Vanguard Group today launched the Vanguard FTSE All-World ex-U.S. Small-Cap Index Fund, according to a news release from the company.
The fund aims to track the FTSE Global Small Cap ex-U.S. index, which is used as the benchmark for 3,300 stocks of companies in 47 countries. The Vanguard release touted the fund as the only international index fund in the industry to offer exposure to small-cap stocks of both developed and emerging markets outside the United States in a single portfolio.
The two-week subscription period began today and is expected to close April 2. Institutional shares have an estimated expense ratio of 0.35%. The minimum institutional investment is $5 million.
Vanguard continues to broaden its stable of international index offerings, and this new small-cap fund will complement our array of broad-market, large-cap-oriented international index funds, Vanguard CIO Gus Sauter said in the news release.
