Joseph D. Roxe was named chairman of the Investment Advisory Council, a 10-member independent public board that advises Connecticut Treasurer Denise Nappier on the investments of $20 billion Connecticut State Retirement Plans and Trust Funds, Hartford, according to a news release from Gov. M. Jodi Rell.
In an interview, Mr. Roxe said hes currently serving as chairman of both Bay Holdings, an investment holding company for a small circle of family and friends, and The Roxe Foundation, which he set up to support education, health care and the arts. He declined to give the size of the foundations assets.
In addition, Mr. Roxe serves on a number of investment committees, including that of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
