Reiner Triltsch was hired as CIO at Wentworth, Hauser and Violich Investment Counsel, according to a news release today.
He is replacing George Springman, who will retire from the firm before the end of June, the release said.
Mr. Triltsch had been head of international equity investing at Federated Investors. Federated spokeswoman Meghan McAndrew said Mr. Triltschs duties have been assumed by existing employees and was uncertain whether the company would look for a permanent replacement.
Wentworth, Hauser and Violich had $8.4 billion in assets under management as of Dec 31.
