Niall Michael Quinn joined Eaton Vance Corp. as managing director of Eaton Vance Management International, the firm’s London-based business development and client service arm.
Mr. Quinn assumes those responsbilities from Lisa Jones, Eaton Vance’s head of institutional business, to whom he will report. In a telephone interview, Ms. Jones said Eaton Vance, with more than $5 billion in mandates from non-U.S. clients, is tapping the sales and marketing veteran to take full advantage of what are likely to be “huge opportunities outside the U.S.” in 2009.
Previously, Mr. Quinn was head of business development with Gartmore Investment Management Ltd. Gartmore spokeswoman Rebecca Grundy said Mr. Quinn’s responsibilities were assumed by other team members.
